Domestic Violence Workshop

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is one of the most widespread and damaging forms of violence worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, IPV is defined as “behavior within an intimate partner relationship that causes physical, sexual or psychological harm, including acts of physical aggression, sexual coercion, psychological abuse and controlling behaviors.” This widely used definition covers violence by both male and female, both current and former spouses and partners. IPV has enormous health and social consequences impacting individuals and family systems to include children.

Reflections Behavioral Health has taken the initiative to STOP the cycle of Intimate Partner Violence by launching a 26 or 52- week psychoeducational workshop for men and women who struggle with perpetrating IPV. Trained and highly experienced licensed therapists will conduct workshops using bold interventions from the STOP curriculum, that are field tested for more than thirty years among military and civilian populations treating more than 50,000 domestic violence offenders.

Each workshop will be based on the latest evidence-based strategies packed with skills-based training, exercises, handouts, and homework assignments that challenge both men and women to examine themselves and develop new tools to manage their relationship struggles to STOP the cycle of violence.
